At Twin Flame, we focus on providing quality sourced fabrics aligned with our mission of using organic and single-framed fibers. We want natural fiber clothing that is 100% the same so that the entire piece can be safely and properly recycled when the time is appropriate.
That means we actively seek out those suppliers that have integrated a long-term plan of sustainable practices within their facilities and supply chains. That is why we are a proud supporter of certifications like the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) for proper forest management, the Global Organic Textiles Standard (GOTS), and many others.
We want to do our part in lowering the estimated 18 million synthetic microfibers emitted into the world's wastewater, just from household laundry. That is why we use organic silk as a renewable fabric when designing our stunning clothing.
Why We Chose Silk for the Twinsparency Top?
Fashion should be provocative and mirror the world's social issues around us. As we become aware of the critical need for sustainable and recyclable materials, we have adapted by creating luxurious pieces like our Twinsparency Top and Bodysuit.
Silk is considered one of the more sustainable fibers and is a renewable resource that uses less water and energy than other chemically-laden fibers. This means it is completely compostable without sacrificing the soft feel and flowing beauty we prefer.
We wanted to craft an outfit that screams style while still using a strong natural fiber. That is why we chose silk. It has a natural temperature-regulating characteristic that lets the fabric feel warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
The final Twinsparency Set is an excellent example of the luxurious outfits possible when we put our creativity to work using recyclable natural fibers for an elevated look that will turn heads no matter where you go next.
Why We Use Organic Silk for our Natural Fiber Clothing?
Who doesn’t love the look and feel of freshly made silk? The clothing by itself is attractive and mysterious to the touch before you put it on and accessorize. The only problem is that conventional silk is manufactured using harmful chemicals, pesticides, and fertilizers. These toxins are frequently used during the reeling and material processing as cleaners that often end up in local community groundwater or fresh waterways.
We want our customers to feel beautiful, sexy, and empowered when they wear our natural fiber clothing. That is why we elected to focus on organic silk that does not use any chemicals during any step of production.
The result is an engaging piece of clothing made to our high standards and free from the guilt or ramifications of harmful chemicals.
How We Ensure our Organic Silk is Authentic
All the organic silk we at Twin Flame use in our popular fabrics and clothing is sourced from Italian expert artisans and has been certified by GOTS. This is the leading worldwide textile processing standard for organic fibers, including ecological and social awareness criteria.
We know we are doing our part for natural fiber clothing because the strict requirements of GOTS ensure all the raw materials have been properly harvested and use environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing to receive this certification.
That is why when you shop at Twin Flame, you are getting more than fashion-forward outfits. You are also getting the assurance that your pieces are responsibly sourced.
