Our favorite spots for a dinner date in Paris

Love is in the air ! It’s officially that time of the year when it’s ok to be cheesy and just celebrate love. Whether you’re looking for a nice place to celebrate Valentine’s day or simply want to plan the perfect date with your partner, today’s post is for you ! We’ve compiled our favorite parisian places for a dinner date, depending on the vibe you want to go for.

Lapérouse, the most mythical

@laperouse_paris

You’re looking for that “wow” effect that will leave your other half speechless ? We’ve got you ! The history of Lapérouse’s building takes us back to the 18th century and makes it a unique place. After being an hôtel particulier for a hundred years, the place was turned into a restaurant in 1866 and was actually the first restaurant to get three Michelin stars. After a few difficult years, the arrival of a new chef in 2018, Jean-Pierre Vigato, marks a fresh start for the place with a menu making tradition and modernism meet. Now not only do you have a nice place to take your date to, you also have a nice anecdote to tell them !

Lapérouse - 51 Quai des Grands Augustins, 75006 Paris

Ristorante National, the most sophisticated

@hotelnationaldesartsetmetiers

This Italian restaurant is located in one of our places of choice for a night out : the Hotel National des Arts & Métiers. Dim lights, velvet seats, delicious cocktails, Italian food… The Ristorante National has everything we love ! Our recommendation ? The tagliata di fassona piemontese. You - and your date - will thank us later !

Ristorante National, Hôtel National des Arts & Métiers - 243 rue Saint Martin, 75003 Paris

Pétrelle, the most intimate

@petrelle.restaurant

Is there something more romantic than being in a public place but still feel like it is only the two of you ? That’s the feeling you’ll get when sitting at one of the few Pétrelle’s tables. Enjoy Lucie Boursier-Mougenot refined dishes in the most intimate ambiance as the decor tastefully mixes great chandeliers and old wood stove, all of that without ever feeling like it’s too much. We should warn you though : Pétrelle will be closed on the 14th but who said you can’t be romantic everyday of the week ?

Petrelle - 34 rue Petrelle, 75009 Paris

Racines, the most authentic

@racinesparis

We love how Racines’s atmosphere makes you feel like you’re at home while still eating amazing and creative dishes you clearly wouldn’t be able to make ! If you’re not into fancy and over the top places but still want to enjoy a nice dinner on a special occasion, we definitely recommend this restaurant and its bistrot vibe located in the center of Paris. You might wonder “What am I gonna eat” ? Get ready to enjoy yummy Italian food, our favorite !

Racines - 8 Passage des Panoramas, 75002 Paris

Girafe, the trendiest

@girafe_paris

This one will please the ones who enjoy beautiful and modern places but also fish lovers as this parisian seahouse offers a wide range of dishes from the traditional fish place to ceviches and sashimis. A thing we particularly enjoy about this place is its location. La Girafe is in one of our favorite museums, la Cité de l’Architecture. With its 1930s inspired decor, it is the perfect continuation to a museum date. And if you can’t get a table, it now has a baby sister : La Suite Girafe !

La Girafe - 1 place du Trocadéro et du 11 Novembre, 75016 Paris
