Boost Your Immune System By Eating Seasonally
Matilda Djerf @matildadjerf
As we dive into fall, our bodies have more needs in some nutrients, especially vitamin C. Little changes in your diet can help you boost your immune system and make sure your body has everything it needs to keep feeling energized. And as nature does things well, you can get a lot of those nutrients by simply eating seasonally. Among the top immune system booster for this season you’ll find butternut squash (packed with vitamins C and E, beta-carotene and alpha-carotene), almonds (high in the antioxidant vitamin E and gut health-boosting fiber) and broccoli (which offers even more vitamin C when in season).
Our little tip : We love to support local producers and when it comes to eating seasonally, shopping at a farmer’s market is actually the best choice you could make.

As the air is getting colder, our skin tends to be more prone to dryness and irritation. The key word no matter what’s your skin type ? MOISTURIZE. To keep your skin healthy and glowing, go for thicker and more nourishing products, from your daily moisturizer to your cleanser. Oils and serums will be your allies to really give your skin that deep hydration we’re dying for.
Our little tip : Daily oil massages will give your skin that extra nourishment it’s asking for while moving the toxins. It’s also a great ritual to wind down after a long day ! Our favorite products : Seabuckthorn Best Skin Ever Oil by Living Libations and Kaya Anti-Aging Face Oil by Costa Brazil.
Stay Hydrated

We all know that it can be quite hard to get that 1 to 2 liters of water per day in. And it’s even easier to forget about it in fall and winter. But the fact that we’re not feeling hot or sweating as much doesn’t mean that we don’t need that hydration anymore. Drinking water can actually help you to make it through cold seasons as it helps your body getting rid of toxins that might eventually make you sick. Yes, that was your cue to go grab a glass of water !
Our little tip : Infusing fresh fruits or veggies such as cucumber and lemon in your water not only adds a little flavor but also helps your body to better absorb the water.
Stay Active

It might get really tempting to snuggle up on the couch with a cup of tea to re-watch Sex and the City for the hundredth time. Of course we will never tell you that it’s a bad idea - SATC is always a good idea - but it’s all about balance. As much as you should listen to your body when it’s asking for rest, you should also make sure you keep moving it regularly. Not only is exercise essential on a physical aspect but it is also a great mood booster which can be quite useful when saying your goodbyes to summer.
Our little tip : Choose workouts that match your energy shifting. It can be as simple as walking as long as you get some movement in. Our favorite at home workouts : 4 At Home Workouts You Will Actually Crave
Embrace The Downtime
Brittany Bathgate @brittanybathgate
The end of summer usually means getting back into a routine and there’s good to be found in that. Having some downtime allows you to actually plan and organize your next adventures ! Enjoy that quiet time in between the summer craziness and winter holidays to really think about your goals and make the most of the end of the year. And remember : as much as it can be important to think about future goals, you should also look at everything you’ve already achieved !
Our little tip : As any big transitions, the arrival of fall is a great time to make a vision board : Where do I want to be by the end of the year ?
